JEA was created by the City of Jacksonville to serve those who live here and in the surrounding communities. The sole purpose of our business is to ensure the electric, water and sewer demands of our customers are met, both today and for generations to come. Our goal is to provide reliable services at a good value to our customers while ensuring our areas’ precious natural resources are protected.
Latitude 30 is a 50,000 sq. ft. entertainment venue adjacent to the Avenues Mall. The Environmental and Compliance Department has a variety of responsibilities, however, it's broad focus includes the environment, parking facilities and enforcement, animal care and protection, and mosquito control. The department also enforces codes and laws affecting the quality of life in Jacksonville, including laws that concern zoning, safety and cleanliness of private property, housing safety, nuisance abatement and similar matters.
